Sailing in Blackbeard's wake

We wanted to sail on the Schooner Windfall last year, but the weather didn't cooperate on the night we were here. The weather man hadn't been very hopeful this week either, so when we saw that the schedule was up for Tuesday night, we signed up - Pat, Mike and poki arrived at the dock about 6:30 for the cruise. There were lots of clouds, but they add interest to sunset pictures! A totally clear sky makes for a boring sunset picture I think.

We met Captain Rob Temple on the dock -

First Mate - Emmet was celebrating his 15th birthday! He was a talented crew member!

About 20 minutes into the 75 minute sail, the sky began to color ... not the most spectacular sunset we've ever seen, but ... it was our first on Pamlico Sound. Maybe Wed night will be better - we plan to be down at the dock to take pictures of the Windfall under sail!
